SPRING EXHIBITIONS,  2008

This is just my raw data on team hitting and starting pitchers, from the box scores of the exhibition games played March 18th or later. Only games v. major league opponents and for which a box score was available are counted,

The pitchers listed threw a quality start or a start which could have had a 4 or 5 game rating. The numbers after the team names are the number of times the team got 10 or more hits, 12 or more if they were actually playing in Arizona or other high-elevation site. So -4 means four times the team got at least 10 (or 12) hits. Just a way of seeing who is making contact.

* indicates team is based in Arizona, rest are based in Florida.

Teams hitting well but with poor starting pitching are prime candidates to play "overs" in the early going.

Teams getting good pitching but few runs are candidates for "unders" scores.

EXHIBITION GAMES beginning 3/18/08, through 3/29/08 ( will be updated 3/31)

#s indicate games with 10 HITS (Fla teams) 12 HITS (*Ari teams) Pitchers: Quality Start or Game Rating= 4 or 5

For this all Boston & Oakland games played in Japan were counted, v. each other & Japanese teams.

TEAMS HITTING WELL:  Angels, Cubs, Reds, Pirates, Cardinals
