Our Log of games below is the Chicago White
Sox record in the August
2005.
It serves as an example of the contents of three separate Baseball Insight
publications:
(1.) Our Monthly Log, published in-season,lists all games for the
preceeding month. The first 2007 Monthly Log will be mailed May 1, then
June 1, July 1, August 1, and the day after the end of the regular season. You can buy a
subscription or purchase single copies. Also available via
email attachment.
(2.) Logs on disk for the entire 2006 season, the 2004-06 seasons, and
the 10-years 1997-06 are available. These are on CD-ROM disks for PCs, and are in both
.dbf (dBase IV) and .txt (ascii plain or DOS text) formats
and now in Excel (.xls). Most database programs will
import .dbf files. Many spreadsheets will import either .dbf or .txt files. Imports into
Excel or Access, among others.
(3.) A complete printed Log of all 2006 games, organized by team in date order (just as in the
Monthly Logs and on the disks) is in the 2007 Baseball Insight Annual.
Some older Annuals with Logs are available.

Log Explanation: Reading across, Date, team's Won/Loss, Opponent, Home/Away,
Day/Night, Grass/Turf, Runs, Opponent Runs, Starter, starter's Innings Pitched,
starter's Earned Runs, Bullpen innings and earned runs,
Unearned Runs, starters Game Rating, Opposing Starter, opposing starter Left/Right-handed,
opening betting Line (10-cent Las Vegas), Over/Under or "totals" betting line.
