The 30 major league team boxes are presented this way
each week. Other features include each team's three-year record v. each opponent of the
covered week. Each issue also includes special articles and charts covering current and
past stats and records. Early season issues will have pitcher three-year marks broken down
by home/road/, day/night, grass/turf. After the season is underway, we update information
found in the Annual, including money line results, power/finesse pitchers,
groundball/flyball pitchers, run scoring and totals, etc. "Keys Trends" features
detail the editor's observations about current team and pitcher performance, especially
including trends not readily apparent in our or the ordinary newspaper stats. Many of our
longtime subscribers believe Key Trends is the best, most helpful thing we publish.
All of this is dedicated to understanding when and why teams are winning or losing games,
and to help subscribers make money and enjoy betting on baseball games.
This is approximately how the Braves looked in 1999 issue #1. These are 1998 records,
including post-season games. Pitcher W-L is based on team record in starts.
ERA is for starting work only. There will be a slight format change, as we drop Grass/Turf records in '02, and, for the pitchers, include Quality Starts.
1st issue 2005 includes all final '04 stats, and 2002-04 for the 3-year stats.
